Cheers to a New AMA NEO Year

As we head into the new 2017-2018 fiscal year for AMA Northeast Ohio, it is worth taking a moment to reflect on where we are as a chapter, and what we’re all about.

Last year, as many of you know, the Cleveland AMA and Akron/Canton AMA chapters merged, and rolled out a rebranding on a national level. As the new Chapter President, I am excited to move forward as a much larger, unified local organization, and to share with you our new mission, vision and values.

And, we aren’t just about work. We like to have fun, too! We offer a mix of happy hours, networking events, luncheons, dinners, special interest groups, conferences, and workshops. I encourage you to attend our September 12th MIX@6 from 6-8 p.m. at Fat Head’s in North Olmsted. I’d like to personally meet you and provide more information about what’s in-store this year.

We are proud to serve more than 200 passionate marketing and sales professionals who make up our membership base and to interact with the many people who attend our events. We are working harder to engage collegiate chapters more holistically than we have in years, preparing the next generation of local marketers for what’s ahead.

Our mission is to provide thought-provoking programs and engaging networking opportunities that enrich the personal and professional lives of our members and other marketing and sales professionals in Northeast Ohio. We see ourselves as an inclusive community where we inspire, advance and connect those marketing and sales professionals. We believe in a committed, focused and supportive community atmosphere as a professional organization.

No other organization in Northeast Ohio that offers the kind of diverse programming we do. We have something for everyone. We are without a doubt the premier marketing organization in the area.

But, we wouldn’t be here without the dedication of our volunteers, partners, and friends that have given much to help advance our chapter. This is especially true of our Board members and the committee members, who dedicate countless hours bringing AMA NEO to life. I am extremely thankful for all their hard work.

I also want to thank you for taking the time to get to know AMA NEO a little better. Whether you are a member or not, we always have room for you. It’s going to be a great year for our chapter and I want you to experience it with us. So, come on! Have a beer with me and let’s talk marketing!
